Our Mission
We believe that every student interested in participating in research at Berkeley should have the opportunity to do so. We are committed to individually helping new students find research on campus, developing their resume to apply for these positions, and even funding personal project if no opportunities are available.
If students or teams choose to pursue their own projects , HARP will provide monetary support for materials, access to campus spaces, and project specific mentors. Students will draft project plans, collect data or build prototypes, and present and publicize their results at an end of the semester poster session.
Freshman can leverage what they build through the HARP program to get the most out of their overall Berkeley experience whether future research opportunities, faculty connections, or new friends and teammates.
